Fulbright is the flagship scholarship program of the U.S. Department of State. The US government’s flagship scholarship programme awards deserving Pakistani students full scholarships that cover tuition, textbooks, airfare, a stipend, and health insurance to complete their Master’s or PhD degrees  in a field of their choice in universities across the US. The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and the Fellowship Fund for Pakistan announced the 2012-13 competition for the Wilson Center's Pakistan Scholar Program. One Pakistan Scholar, either from Pakistan or of Pakistani origin, will be selected each year. Successful applicants will spend 9 months in residence at the Woodrow Wilson Center, in the heart of Washington, D.C., where they will carry out advanced, policy-oriented research and writing. This scholar program is made possible by generous financial support provided by the Fellowship Fund for Pakistan, a charitable trust based in Karachi. Islamabad United States Educational Foundation (USEF), Pakistan has invited applications from Pakistani journalists to be part of the U.S-Pakistan Professional Partnership Program to get professional training of journalism and to interact with the U.S Journalists.  “The program will involve journalists from both countries working together and building real professional relationships as well as the opportunity to learn about media reporting in each other’s country” A USEF announcement said. It has been known that the program is being run by the International Centre for Journalists (ICFJ), a Washington based organization whose mission is to impart journalism education worldwide. The program is funded by U.S Department of State. The selected journalists will spend Six weeks in the U.
