FUUAST participates in Spring Splash 2012 Festival

Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology Islamabad campus participates in Spring Splash 2012, a week-long festivity comprising several inter-university competitions, organised by Preston University, kicked off in Islamabad on Thursday April 12, 2012, says a press release.

First of the series of events that are being held during the festivity, an inter-university sports competition (comprising of T-20 Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis and Football tournaments) is commencing today at Pakistan Sports Complex and Marghazar Cricket Ground, Saidpur, Islamabad. Universities participating in the T-20 cricket tournament are: Quaid-i-Azam University, SZABIST, Islamabad, National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Hamdard University, Islamabad, International Islamic University, Federal Urdu University, Islamabad and Preston University, Islamabad, Kohat, Peshawar and Lahore. Universities participating in the Table Tennis competition are: Quaid-i-Azam University, International Islamic University, Hamdard University, Islamabad, Islamia College, Peshawar, Federal Urdu University, Islamabad, ZABIST, Islamabad, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Preston University Islamabad, Kohat and Lahore.

FUUAST Englineering, Law & Pharmacy Recognised

KARACHI, Aug 28 The engineering, law and pharmacy faculties of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (Fuuast) have been registered in the academic councils concerned, says a statement issued here on Tuesday. After the registration, the degrees awarded by the faculties would have proper recognition in the job market and the national and international educational institutions, it said. FUUAST Officers Welfare Forum hosted a reception to celebrate the occasion and presented a shield to Karachi University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser in recognition of his efforts in this regard. Computer lab inaugurated at FUUAST

KARACHI Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser on Friday inaugurated the state-of-the-art computer laboratory in the Department of Computer Science and Information Science, FUUAST. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony held at the university’s main campus, the FUUAST VC Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser, who is also serving as KU VC, said the research work was considered as an identity of any university. “The FUUAST has established various latest laboratories in many departments during the last four years. Department of Computer Science is one of the said departments, where students are engaged in their research work day and night.
