FUUAST Documentary Festival

A Documentary Festival was organised at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST). An official of the institution said here on Tuesday, 28th February 2012, that the event was held under the auspices of the University’s Department of Mass Communications.

As many as nine documentaries covering different topics were also screened on the occasion. President of Karachi Press Club (KPC), Tahir Hassan Khan, speaking on the occasion said that impartation of practical training to the students would be of immense benefit to them for preparing them for the careers.

Senior journalist, A.H. Khanzada, urged the students to also pay attention towards research. The Dean of FUUAST’s Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr Seemi Naghmana, appreciated the holding of the Documentary Mela.

Chairman of the Department of Mass Communication of FUUAST, Prof. Dr. Tauseef Ahmed Khan, said that for imparting training to the students the services of senior faculty members and experts have been hired.

Computer lab inaugurated at FUUAST

KARACHI Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Qaiser on Friday inaugurated the state-of-the-art computer laboratory in the Department of Computer Science and Information Science, FUUAST.
