YAF The Best Thesis of the Year won by a young Pakistani Architect

The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Chandigarh-Punjab Chapter organized "Young Architects Festival" from 14-16 October, 2011 at Chandigarh. This national event of IIA was organized for the first-time in Chandigarh. About 750 architects, urban planners, interior designers and students of these professions from all over India and abroad attended this Festival. The inaugural function was held on 14th October, 2011 at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh. The Festival included a series of activities of cultural events, an International Conference on "Contemporary Architecture: Beyond Corbusierism", travelling exhibition of architectural works of chapters, displayed from 12-16 October, titled "CONTEXTUAL ARCHITECTURE: An Indian Perspective," featuring especially the late 20th and early 21st century architecture and the Nest Thesis of eth year 2010-2011 Competition. 


Ar. Fasih-ud-Din Khan, a young architect from Lahore Pakistan has made Pakistan proud by winning the first prize in the best Thesis of the year competition. He graduated with Distinction, in year 2010, , from Beaconhouse National University, School of Architecture, Lahore, Pakistan and is presently working as an in-house Architect for Imran Khan Foundation. He is currently involved with the master plan of Imran Khan's Namal University Project spread on 1000 Acres site.
